My bad, the domain is actually ng4a.com, not n4ga.com. It was registered on November 2007. (N4G on April 2000)
Very well-written and an excellent analysis...
Home is at its infancy and it will no doubt take time to gain widespread adoption. It needs work and I think that's what Sony is doing: experimentation.
If you guys go there, sometimes you can see people having serious discussions...and lots of dancing.
Wow! The dark Kratos picture is perfect for an avatar.
By the way, couldn't True Gaming network come up with a more creative name? Did they really have to name their site N4Ga, while they are not affiliated with the original N4G website?
No Heavy Rain = Fail
Tekken is certainly juggle heavy, but you need a skilled player to perform juggles, and that's one reason I like it. It's by no means mash-friendly unless both players are noobs (Hwoarang, anyone?).
When I say hardcore, I'm not talking about online, but the game mechanics, the balanced characters and the huge amount of moves.
Tekken 6 by itself offers nothing new, even dumbed down some of the elements, but builds upon a solid and highly detailed game, so on its o...
Even though Tekken 6 was kind of a disappointment, I'd still prefer it to other fighting games.
Street Fighter IV is certainly a good game, but as a huge fighting games fan, I think it's a bit overrated.
Up to this moment, no fighting game is as hardcore as Tekken. I understand if people didn't like it because, like Killzone, it needs patience and experience to enjoy the game. Didn't like the big boobs (I think it's lame for a well-established franchise to resort...
Dave, don't forget it's Sony's money they are spending on these big budget games in the first place.
It's not just ND that deserves praise (and a raise), but GG as well. Killzone 2 is a masterpiece too.
Kudos to Sony for giving these awesome devs lots of money and time to bring us these marvels.
Does anyone else find some of the editors' criticism ridiculous? Age-old mechanics? Are you serious?
It is, as the video's description on YouTube says, a PS3 wireless interface client, like remote-play on PSP. It's still impressive.
It's mainly the ISPs that make the online experience crappy. Some are lucky bastards who get to have access to cheap and high speed connection.
PS3 servers, by the way, are excellent. First and second party titles all run on dedicated servers with no noticeable lag. I have had problems with very few games and I don't think these are platform-centric i.e. Tekken 6.
You gotta admit it's gorgeous. It would be interesting to know who buys this kind of stuff.
Plants vs. Zombies is very original, funny, and fun game. Thumbs up to PopCap for such a great game.

lordkemp007, my hat off to you, sir.
Open spaces can rarely create a scary environment unless it's all dark and foggy. In the original Biohazard games, your character was trying to survive and find their way out of some building/mansion. Resident Evil 3 had its share of running around in a city, but it was mostly narrow alleys and closed spaces.
There are two critical points that we are missing here:
1. I think most of us played the early Biohazard games about 10 years ago or so, our age back then m...
I share your concern too. Q1 is way too overcrowded as well as the rest of the year with high-quality games to a point that there's a chance we'd call 2010 "Year of the Flops". There are many chicken games too whose publishers were too scared to release them in Q4 this year because they were afraid of MW2. I don't think their decision earns them any more sales than they would have gotten had they released the games this year.
Of particular concern to me is Heavy Rain,...
spinbot_lv1's point makes sense and is not a gross generalization.
Having played MGS 1, 2, and 3, I knew that 4 would be more of the same: slow-paced gameplay, not much shooting, and long cutscenes. This is a conclusion from extrapolation. However, if I had never played any MGS game before and bash MGS4, then you would be justified in criticizing me.
Same goes for Splinter Cell. The game is slow and could be boring to someone who is used to playing fast-paced sho...
You should probably work on your use of analogies because your example is completely irrelevant to what is being discussed here.
Anyway, Conviction looks like a solid game if you're a fan of the series.
Soon after Wada got in control the company's overall quality started to deteriorate.
I still don't know how Enix was considered a gaming company. They created a few Dragon Quest titles and then outsourced the franchise to other developers. All Dragon Quest titles prior to 8 looked alike and were stuck in the NES era quality. Level 5 changed that, but that's hardly a feat for Enix.
SE sucks really bad and I don't think I have had any sort of anticipation for any S...
The price difference between Sony and LG/Samsung TVs is due to the exchange rate. Yen is very high at the moment while Won is very low which gives the exporters an advantage when they sell their products in Dollar and Euro in the US and Europe.
This is one of the major reasons the Japanese companies are in the red now.
I have an LG HDTV and my brother has a Bravia TV. The Bravia, while more expensive, owns my LG in every (technical) category.
